PROCEDURE

1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4WD ECU ASSEMBLY - REAR 4WD LINEAR SOLENOID RH (ELECTRO MAGNETIC CONTROL COUPLING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH))
a.

Turn the engine switch off.


b.

Disconnect the N4 4WD ECU assembly connector.


c.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
N4-2 (WJSR) - N4-1 (WJRR) 20°C (68°F) 2.2 to 2.6 Ω
N4-2 (WJSR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher



d.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

N4-1 (WJRR) - Body ground Always Below 1 V

Turn the engine switch off.


b.

Disconnect the O7 rear 4WD linear solenoid RH (electro magnetic control coupling sub-assembly RH) connector.


c.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
