NR Series ENGINE CONTROL  SFI SYSTEM  PRECAUTION  


INITIALIZATION


NOTICE:
·

Before replacing the ECM, refer to Service Bulletin (for Immobiliser System).

·

Before replacing the ECM, store the heavy knock history. After replacement, write the heavy knock history to the new ECM.

Perform Registration (VIN registration or frame number registration) when replacing the ECM.

Perform Learning Value Reset and Idle Learning after replacing or servicing parts related to engine operation.

When the ECM is replaced on a vehicle with a non-specified battery, it is necessary to perform battery type switching.

Make sure to perform Reset Memory (CVT initialization), deceleration sensor zero point calibration and CVT oil pressure calibration when replacing the ECM or the oil pressure sensor.

When the engine stop and start ECU is replaced, it is necessary to read the number of starter operations before replacement, and to store this number in the new engine stop and start ECU. Moreover, initialization/learning of the air conditioning information and initialization/learning of the deceleration sensor 0 point are also required.

When the starter assembly is replaced, the number of starter operations stored in the engine stop and start ECU must be reset.

When the starter assembly is replaced, "ST relay" must be also replaced.




WHEN USING GTS


CAUTION:

Observe the following items for safety reasons:

Before using the GTS, read the instruction manual.

·

Prevent the GTS cable from being caught on the pedals, shift lever or steering wheel when driving with the GTS connected to the vehicle.

·

When driving the vehicle for testing purposes using the GTS, 2 persons are required. One to drive the vehicle, and another to operate the GTS.
