Fully apply the parking brake and chock a wheel.
Make sure to apply the parking brake and chock a wheel before performing this procedure.
If the vehicle is not secure and the shift lever is moved to N, the vehicle may suddenly move, possibly resulting in an accident or serious injury.

2.REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON COVER

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws to remove the shift lock release button cover from the position indicator housing assembly.
Be careful not to damage the shift lock release button cover and position indicator housing assembly.

7.DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for TFTM Made)
Move the shift lever to N.

Disconnect in this Direction |
Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.

Using a screwdriver, pull out the stopper of the transmission control cable assembly.
Do not remove the stopper. If it is removed, reinstall it to its original position.

| *c | Turn approximately 180° |
Turn the nut of the transmission control cable assembly approximately 180° counterclockwise and, while holding the nut in that position, disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.
Do not turn the nut excessively as the internal spring may come off and the transmission control cable assembly will not be reusable.
Do not forcibly pull the transmission control cable assembly into the cabin.

8.DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for GTMC Made)
Move the shift lever to N.
Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.

Rotate the lock nut counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the lock nut in that position, disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.
Do not forcibly pull the transmission control cable assembly into the cabin.
9.REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY
Remove the 4 bolts and disconnect the transmission floor shift assembly.
Disconnect the transmission control switch connector.
Disengage the 3 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the transmission floor shift assembly.
Disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector.
Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the transmission floor shift assembly.
Remove the transmission floor shift assembly.
