The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during brake booster with master cylinder assembly removal/installation are shown below.

When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the auxiliary battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
PROCEDURE
1.DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

Remove the 3 nuts and dash panel heat insulator.
8.DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
- NOTICE:

If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.

9.SEPARATE ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE

Disconnect the connector in this direction |
Disconnect the connector (A) from the brake booster.
Disengage the clamp from the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.
Disconnect the connector (B) from the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly as shown in the illustration.

Lift the lock lever |
|
Disconnect the connector |
As shown in the illustration, lift the lock lever while pressing the lock and disconnect the connector from the brake booster.
- NOTICE:

Be careful not to allow any brake fluid to enter the connector.

10.SEPARATE FRONT NO. 5 BRAKE TUBE
Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the front No. 5 brake tube from the front flexible hose LH.
- NOTICE:
- ·
Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
·Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.

Disconnect the front brake tube grommet from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.
Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the front No. 5 brake tube from the brake actuator assembly.
- NOTICE:
- ·
Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
·Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.
Disengage the 5 clamps and remove the No. 3 brake tube clamp from the brake lines.

Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
·Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.
Disengage the 6 clamps and remove the No. 4 brake tube clamp from the brake lines.
- NOTICE:
- ·
Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
·Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.
Disengage the 5 clamps and remove the No. 3 brake tube clamp from the brake lines.

Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
·Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.
Disengage the 5 clamps and remove the No. 3 brake tube clamp from the brake lines.

11.SEPARATE BRAKE LINE
Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 2 brake lines from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.

Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
·Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.

Remove the 4 nuts and brake booster with master cylinder assembly.

Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
·Do not carry the brake booster with master cylinder assembly by the parts shown in the illustration.
·Be careful not to allow any brake fluid to enter the connector.

16.REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET
Remove the brake booster gasket from the brake booster with master cylinder assembly.
