PRECAUTION FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
After the ignition switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, make sure to wait at least 85 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
PRECAUTION FOR NAVIGATION SYSTEM
When replacing the radio and display receiver assembly or navigation ECU, always replace it with a new one. If a radio and display receiver assembly or navigation ECU which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:
A communication malfunction DTC may be stored.
The radio and display receiver assembly or navigation ECU may not operate normally.
When performing the following work, the navigation system may restart when turning the ignition switch ACC (due to radio and display receiver assembly and navigation ECU certification).
Repair or replace the negative (-) battery terminal due to it being disconnected or depleted.
The radio and display receiver assembly or navigation ECU replacement or removal and installation.
When replacing the telematics transceiver, make sure to replace it with a new one. (w/ Telematics Transceiver)
After replacing the radio and display receiver assembly, if "New software is not compatible with the system. Contact your dealer." is displayed on the multi-display, update the software of the navigation ECU.
After replacing the navigation ECU, if "New software is not compatible with the system. Contact your dealer." is displayed on the multi-display, update the software of the radio and display receiver assembly.
