DESCRIPTION

The telematics transceiver sends a mute signal to the radio receiver assembly.

The radio receiver assembly controls the volume according to the mute signal from the telematics transceiver.

Remove the telematics transceiver with the connector(s) still connected.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

N209-14 (MUTE) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC
Audio system playing
→ Emergency call mode
3.5 V or higher
→ Below 1 V

a.

Disconnect the O11 radio receiver assembly connector.


b.

Disconnect the N209 telematics transceiver connector.


c.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
O11-8 (TMUT) - N209-14 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω
O11-8 (TMUT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
