The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during front axle hub assembly removal/installation are shown below.

Hide Display 1.REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

Hide Display 89543 2.DISCONNECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH

Remove the bolt and disconnect the front speed sensor LH and front flexible hose from the front shock absorber assembly LH.

NOTICE:: Be sure to separate the front speed sensor LH and front flexible hose from the front shock absorber assembly LH completely.

Remove the bolt, disengage the clamp and disconnect the front speed sensor LH from the front shock absorber assembly LH and steering knuckle LH.

NOTICE:: ·

Prevent foreign matter from contacting the sensor tip.

·

Be careful not to damage the front speed sensor LH.

·

Clean the speed sensor installation hole and the contact surfaces every time the front speed sensor LH is removed.

Hide Display 7.REMOVE FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY LH

Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and front axle assembly from the front shock absorber assembly LH.

NOTICE:: When removing the nuts, keep the bolts from rotating.

Hide Display 43502C 8.REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

Secure the front axle assembly between aluminum plates in a vise.

NOTICE:: Do not overtighten the vise.

Remove the 4 bolts, front axle hub sub-assembly LH and front disc brake dust cover from the steering knuckle LH.

NOTICE:: ·

Do not drop the front axle hub sub-assembly LH.

·

Be careful not to damage the speed sensor rotor or contact surfaces.

·

Do not allow foreign matter to contact the speed sensor rotor or contact surfaces.
