Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

Hide Display 1.REMOVE REAR WHEEL

Hide Display 2.DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

Hide Display 47321B 3.DISCONNECT REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE

*1	Union Nut Wrench

Secure the rear flexible hose with a wrench, and using a union nut wrench, disconnect the brake tube.

NOTICE:: ·

Do not bend or damage the brake tube.

·

Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting point.

Detach the clip and disconnect the rear flexible hose.

Remove the bolt and disconnect the brake tube.

Hide Display 4.REMOVE PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY

Hide Display 89545A 5.REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR

Remove the bolt and disconnect the rear speed sensor from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.

NOTICE:: ·

Keep the tip of the rear speed sensor and installation hole free of foreign matter.

·

Do not rotate or apply excessive force to the rear speed sensor when removing it from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly. Rotating or applying excessive force may result in damage to the rear speed sensor.

Hide Display 46430 6.DISCONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

Hide Display 7.REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT WITH BACKING PLATE

Remove the 4 nuts.

Pull out the rear axle shaft with backing plate from the rear axle housing.

Hide Display 42409F 8.REMOVE REAR AXLE BEARING CASE O-RING LH

Remove the rear axle bearing case O-ring LH from the rear axle housing.

Hide Display 42312C 9.REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT OIL SEAL LH

Using SST, tap out the rear axle shaft oil seal LH.
