The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the rear coil spring removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE

Hide 46430 3.DISCONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the lower control arm assembly.


Hide 48231B 4.REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING

Loosen the nut of the lower control arm assembly.

NOTICE:

When removing the nuts, keep the bolts from rotating.

Using a jack and wooden block, support the lower control arm assembly.

NOTICE:
·

When jacking up the lower control arm assembly, be sure to jack it up slowly.

·

Make sure to perform this operation with the vehicle kept as low as possible.

Remove the nut, washer and bolt to separate the lower control arm assembly from the rear axle housing assembly.

NOTICE:

When removing the nuts, keep the bolts from rotating.



d.

Slowly lower the lower control arm assembly, and then remove the rear coil spring.


Hide 48259A 5.REMOVE REAR UPPER COIL SPRING INSULATOR

Remove the rear upper coil spring insulator from the vehicle body.

Remove the rear lower coil spring insulator from the lower control arm assembly.


Hide 48341 7.REMOVE REAR SPRING BUMPER

Remove the 2 bolts and rear spring bumper from the vehicle body.
