DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a LIN communication malfunction between the digital key ECU assembly and front door outside handle assembly (for driver door) is detected.

PROCEDURE

1.CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION
a.

Check that the connectors are properly connected to the digital key ECU assembly and front door outside handle assembly (for driver door).

OK:

Connectors are properly connected.

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DIGITAL KEY ECU ASSEMBLY - FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER DOOR) - BODY GROUND)

CONNECT CONNECTORS PROPERLY

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DIGITAL KEY ECU ASSEMBLY - FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER DOOR) - BODY GROUND)
a.

Disconnect the O224 digital key ECU assembly connector.


b.

Disconnect the L22 front door outside handle assembly (for Driver Door) connector.


c.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
O224-12 (PWO1) - L22-1 (PWO1) Always Below 1 Ω
O224-12 (PWO1) or L22-1 (PWO1) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
O224-14 (LIN1) - L22-2 (LIN1) Always Below 1 Ω
O224-14 (LIN1) or L22-2 (LIN1) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
L22-3 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

Replace the front door outside handle assembly (for driver door) with a new one or used one.
