PROCEDURE

1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY)
a.

Disconnect the I271 radio and display receiver assembly connector.


b.

Disconnect the I260 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.


c.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
I271-2 (US1-) - I260-4 (D-) Always Below 1 Ω
I271-3 (US1+) - I260-1 (D+) Always Below 1 Ω
I271-5 (USG1) - I260-5 (UJSS) Always Below 1 Ω
I271-2 (US1-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
I271-3 (US1+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
I271-5 (USG1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

2.CHECK NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY
a.

Replace the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly with a new or known good one.
