DESCRIPTION

The vehicle approaching speaker assembly circuit consists of the vehicle approaching speaker controller and vehicle approaching speaker assembly.

This DTC is stored when a malfunction is detected in the vehicle approaching speaker assembly circuit or vehicle approaching speaker controller.

The power switch is on (IG).

IG power source voltage is 10 V or more.

When ECU output sound signal is being monitored with warning sound not being output, a speaker circuit open, short or short to ground is detected.

B135019 Vehicle Proximity Notification Speaker Circuit Current Above Threshold All of the following conditions are met for 1 second or more:
·

The power switch is on (IG).

·

IG power source voltage is 9 V or more.

·

When vehicle proximity warning sound output conditions are met, an internal malfunction is continuously detected in the vehicle approaching speaker controller.

1.INSPECT VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER ASSEMBLY - VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER)

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER ASSEMBLY - VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER)
a.

Disconnect the A45 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.


b.

Disconnect the A9 vehicle approaching speaker assembly connector.


c.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
A9-2 - A45-7 (SP+) Always Below 1 Ω
A9-1 - A45-8 (SP-) Always Below 1 Ω
A9-2 or A45-7 (SP+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
A9-1 or A45-8 (SP-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
A9-1 - A9-2 Always 10 kΩ or higher
