SEAT  FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for SFTM Made Power Seat)  REMOVAL  


CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the front seat assembly removal/installation are shown below.

NOTICE:
·

If the front seat airbag assembly was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, front seatback frame sub-assembly, separate type front seatback pad and separate type front seatback cover with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

·

Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.



HINT:
·

When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the auxiliary battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the systems is used.

for HV Model:

HINT:

Remove the front seat headrest assembly from the front seat assembly LH.

Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.

Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, detach the claw.

HINT:

Tape the thin-bladed screwdriver tip before use.

Detach the guide and remove the front inner seat track bracket cover LH as shown in the illustration.

Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the front seat assembly LH to the frontmost position.

Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, detach the claw.

HINT:

Tape the thin-bladed screwdriver tip before use.

Detach the guide and remove the rear inner seat track bracket cover LH as shown in the illustration.

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the inner side.


Hide 7.REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

a.

Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts.


b.

Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.


c.

Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts.


d.

Operate the reclining power seat switch knob and move the seatback of the front seat assembly LH so that it is perpendicular.


e.

Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the front seat assembly LH to the center position.


f.

for Driver Side:

i.

Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the front seat assembly LH to the uppermost position.



g.

Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.



iii.

for A25F-FXS:

CAUTION:

Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

·

If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.





h.

Tilt the front seat assembly LH backward.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the front seat assembly LH or interior parts.



i.

Disconnect the connector of the front seat airbag assembly.

NOTICE:

When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.


HINT:

Disconnect each connector under the front seat assembly LH.


k.

Detach each clamp and remove the floor wire from the front seat assembly LH.


l.

Remove the front seat assembly LH.

NOTICE:
·

2 or more people are required when carrying the front seat assembly LH out of the vehicle.

·

Protect the front seat legs.

·

Be careful not to damage the front seat assembly LH, body exterior or interior parts.
