SEAT  FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for GTMC Made Manual Seat)  REMOVAL  


CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the front seat assembly removal/installation are shown below.

NOTICE:
·

If the front seat airbag assembly was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, front seatback frame sub-assembly, separate type front seatback pad and separate type front seatback cover with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

·

Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.



HINT:
·

When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the auxiliary battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the systems is used.

Power back door function Fully close the back door by hand.
HINT:

Initialization is not necessary if the above procedures are performed while the back door is closed.

Air conditioning system After the ignition switch is turned to ON, the servo motor standard position is recognized -

Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

Remove the front seat headrest assembly from the front seat assembly LH.

Operate the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.

Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, detach the claw.

HINT:

Tape the thin-bladed screwdriver tip before use.

Place your hands at the position shown in the illustration and slide in the removal direction (2) while pulling in the removal direction (1) to detach the guide and remove the front outer seat track bracket cover LH.

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the front outer seat track bracket cover LH.

Operate the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly LH to the frontmost position.

Tape the thin-bladed screwdriver tip before use.

Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration and detach the guide and remove the front seat track rear inner cover LH.


Hide 8.REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 "TORX" screws.


b.

Operate the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.

Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 "TORX" screws.


d.

Operate the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly LH to the center position.


e.

Operate the reclining adjuster release handle and move the seatback to the upright position.


f.

Tilt the front seat assembly LH backward.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the front seat assembly LH or the interior parts.



g.

Disconnect the front seat airbag assembly LH connector.

NOTICE:

When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

h.

Disconnect each connector under the front seat assembly LH.


i.

Detach each clamp and remove the floor wire from the front seat assembly LH.


j.

Remove the front seat assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:

2 or more people are required when carrying the front seat assembly LH out of the vehicle.

·

Protect the front seat legs.

·

Be careful not to damage the front seat assembly LH, body exterior or interior parts.
