Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

Hide Display 75734D 1.INSTALL FRONT DOOR REAR UPPER OUTSIDE MOULDING LH (for Type B)

Attach the claw and install the front door rear upper outside moulding LH.

Install in this Direction

Install the 2 screws.

Hide Display 75392A 2.INSTALL NO. 1 OUTSIDE MOULDING RETAINER

for Type A:

Install the No. 1 outside moulding retainer.

for Type B:

Install the No. 1 outside moulding retainer.

Hide Display 75793 3.INSTALL FRONT DOOR UPPER OUTSIDE MOULDING PAD

HINT:: When installing the front door upper outside moulding pad, heat the front door lower outside moulding LH using a heat light.

Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.

Touching the heat light may result in burns.

Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

NOTICE:: Do not heat the front door lower outside moulding LH excessively.

When reusing the front door lower outside moulding LH:

Using a heat light, heat the front door lower outside moulding LH surface.

ii.

Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the front door lower outside moulding LH.

iii.

Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

NOTICE:: ·

Installing the front door upper outside moulding pad with any double-sided tape remaining may cause poor adhesion. Perform this procedure until the tape is sufficiently removed.

·

Make sure to use a cloth when removing. Using a screwdriver, etc., may cause damage and poor adhesion.

·

Also, clean the surface of the new front door lower outside moulding LH.

for Type A:

Apply primer to front door lower outside moulding LH on the installation area of the front door upper outside moulding pad using a brush or felt.

Primer

NOTICE:: ·

Replace the brush or felt if it is dirty or has become hardened.

·

Keep any painted surface free from primer.

·

If the primer contacts a painted surface, it may leave light primer marks. Therefore, use protective tape when using liquid primer.

·

Do not touch surfaces to which primer has been applied until the front door upper outside moulding pad has been attached.

for Type B:

Apply primer to front door lower outside moulding LH on the installation area of the front door upper outside moulding pad using a brush or felt.

Primer

NOTICE:: ·

Replace the brush or felt if it is dirty or has become hardened.

If the primer contacts a painted surface, it may leave light primer marks. Therefore, use protective tape when using liquid primer.

·

Do not touch surfaces to which primer has been applied until the front door upper outside moulding pad has been attached.

Let the primer dry sufficiently.

NOTICE:: Do not touch applied surfaces until the primer is dry.

Recommended drying time:: 10 minutes or more (at 23°C (73°F))

Remove the release paper of the new front door upper outside moulding pad trying not to touch the adhesional surface.

for Type A:

Install the front door upper outside moulding pad as shown in the illustration.
