Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

Remove the cooling unit parts.

14.REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE

Using a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts and cooler expansion valve.
Remove the 2 O-rings from the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent the entry of moisture and foreign matter.

15.REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 screws.

Detach lead wire from guide | - | - |
Detach the claw and guide, and then while detaching the lead wire of the No. 1 cooler thermistor from the guide, separate the upper heater case with No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly from the lower heater case as shown in the illustration.
Detach the guide.
Remove the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly with No. 1 cooler thermistor from the upper heater case.

16.REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER THERMISTOR

17.REMOVE HEATER COVER
If the heater cover is removed, the heater cover itself can be reused, but the air conditioning radiator assembly cannot be reused. After the heater cover is installed, the support (triangular rib) on the air conditioning radiator assembly is crushed. Therefore, if the air conditioning radiator assembly is reused, abnormal noise may occur due to looseness.
