w/ Courtesy Switch:

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the 3 bolts.

Detach the clamp and disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly to remove the hood lock assembly.

NOTICE:: Do not bend the hood lock control cable assembly excessively.

	Remove in this Direction (2)

Detach the claw in the direction (1) indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.

Detach the guide in the direction (2) indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

Detach the clamp and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly from the hood lock control cable assembly.

Detach the claw and remove the front fender front splash shield LH.

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw and remove the 4 grommets.

Remove the front fender liner LH.

String

Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly in the cabin.

HINT:: Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.

Remove in this Direction

Remove the grommet as shown in the illustration.

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the clamp and remove the hood lock control cable assembly.

Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly

Pull the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine room.

HINT:: Do not pull off the string, because it is used during installation. Leave it on the vehicle.

Disconnect the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.
