The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during EGR cooler assembly removal/installation are shown below.

NOTICE:

After the ignition switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly recordsvarious types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off,make sure to wait at least 1 minutes before disconnecting the cable from the negative(-) auxiliary battery terminal.

·

When the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and thesecurity lock setting has been enabled, multi-display operations will be disabled uponnext startup unless the password is entered. Be sure to check the security lock settingbefore disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

·

This procedure includes the removal of small-head bolts. Refer to Small-Head Bolts of Basic Repair Hint to identify the small-head bolts.

HINT:

When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

Remove the 3 bolts.

Disconnect the 4 connectors.

Disengage the wire harness clamp.

Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps.

Remove the bolt and 2 nuts.


h.

Disconnect the 4 connectors.


i.

Disengage the wire harness clamp and disconnect the engine wire.

Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose and No. 4 water by-pass hose from the EGR cooler assembly.

Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and wire harness clamp bracket from the EGR cooler assembly.

Remove the 3 bolts, 2 nuts and EGR cooler assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly and EGR valve assembly.

Remove the 2 bolts, 3 nuts and EGR cooler assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly and EGR valve assembly.
