DESCRIPTION

The ABS motor relay is built into the brake actuator assembly.

When the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) operates ABS, TRC, VSC, brake hold or brake assist, the ABS motor relay turns ON and drives the motor pump built into the brake actuator assembly.

DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area DTC Output from Priority
C052C11 ABS Pump Motor Control Circuit Short to Ground When the voltage at terminal +BM is between 9.6 and 16.4 V, a short to ground in the ABS motor drive circuit is detected during the self test. Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) Brake/EPB A
C052C13 ABS Pump Motor Control Circuit Open An open in the ABS motor drive circuit is detected during the self test. Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) Brake/EPB A
C052F14 ABS Pump Motor Supply Voltage Circuit Short to Ground or Open
·

When the pump motor is turned off after operating, 0.6 V or more is detected at the pump motor for 0.48 seconds or more.

·

The power supply of the ABS motor relay is less than 5 V for 0.15 seconds or more.

Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) Brake/EPB A
C142719 ABS Pump Motor Circuit Current Above Threshold
·

When the ABS motor relay is operating, an overload in the ABS motor relay is detected for 0.06 seconds or more.

·

When the ABS motor relay is operating, a short in the pump motor drive circuit is detected for 0.06 seconds or more.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:
·

Before performing troubleshooting, make sure to confirm that the battery voltage is normal.

·

The system may store DTC C052F14 due to a drop in battery voltage. If a DTC regarding low system supply power voltage is output at the same time, perform troubleshooting for that DTC first.
