Hide 52171C 1.INSTALL REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

HINT:

Perform this procedure only when replacement of the rear bumper reinforcement is necessary.

Install the rear bumper reinforcement with the 6 bolts.

Torque:
20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)

Perform this procedure only when replacement of the rear bumper arm reinforcement LH is necessary.

HINT:

When installing the rear bumper pad, heat the rear bumper cover using a heat light.

Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.

·

Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.



NOTICE:

Do not heat the rear bumper cover excessively.


a.

Clean the rear bumper cover surface.

i.

Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover surface.


ii.

Remove any double-sided tape from the rear bumper cover.


iii.

Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.



b.

Install a new rear bumper pad.

i.

Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover surface.


ii.

Remove the release paper from the rear bumper pad.

HINT:

After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.



iii.

Install the 2 rear bumper pads as shown in the illustration.

HINT:

When installing the ultrasonic sensor clip, heat the rear bumper cover using a heat light.
