Hide 13090D 1.INSPECT CAM TIMING CONTROL MOTOR WITH EDU ASSEMBLY

a.

Check Rotation Direction Signal:

i.

According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

VVT-iE Motor Direction Bank 1 Ignition switch off → Ignition switch ON Backward


HINT:

If the result is not as specified, inspect the cam timing control motor with EDU assembly and wire harness.




b.

Check VVT Change Angle:

i.

Start the engine and warm it up until the engine coolant temperature reaches 75°C (167°F) or higher.


ii.

Read the Data List while performing the Active Test with the engine idling.
