a.

Check the switch.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
5 (CLS) - 2 (E) Pressed (On) Below 1 Ω
5 (CLS) - 2 (E) Not pressed (Off) 10 kΩ or higher


If the result is not as specified, replace the back door control switch.



b.

Check that the switch illuminates.

i.

Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the back door control switch illuminates.

OK:
Auxiliary Battery Connection Specified Condition
Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 6 (ILL+)
Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (ILL-) 		Illumination illuminates


If the result is not as specified, replace the back door control switch.
