DESCRIPTION

The alternator performs self-diagnosis of its internal circuits to detect malfunctions (open or short circuits).

The ECM receives the result via LIN communication and stores a DTC.

Engine running (except during engine cranking).

No malfunction in the LIN communication system.

Alternator speed is less than 560 rpm.

EXC circuit is ON.

Fan and generator V belt

·

V-Ribbed belt tensioner assembly

·

Generator assembly wiring

·

Generator assembly


Charge warning light comes on DTC stored SAE: P065C
