When using a vise, place aluminum plates between the part and vise.

·

When using a vise, do not overtighten it.



PROCEDURE

Hide 84450 1.INSTALL IGNITION OR STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/o Entry and Start System)

Hide 84052 2.INSTALL UN-LOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/o Entry and Start System)

Click hereVehicle Interior>DOOR LOCK>UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH>INSTALLATION

Hide 69057A 3.INSTALL IGNITION SWITCH LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (w/o Entry and Start System)

a.

Make sure that the ignition switch lock cylinder assembly is in the ACC position.


b.

Install the ignition switch lock cylinder assembly.


Hide 4.INSPECT STEERING LOCK OPERATION

a.

Check that the steering lock mechanism is activated when the key is removed.


b.

Check that the steering lock mechanism is deactivated when the key is inserted and turned to the ACC position.

If there is any abnormality, replace the ignition switch lock cylinder assembly.


Hide 45020B 5.INSTALL STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR OR UPPER BRACKET ASSEMBLY (w/o Entry and Start System)

Temporarily install the upper steering column bracket with switch assembly and upper steering column clamp with 2 new steering lock set bolts.


b.

Tighten the 2 steering lock set bolts until the bolt head breaks off.
