M20C-FKS EMISSION CONTROL  DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR  INSTALLATION  


PROCEDURE

Hide 25760 1.CONNECT VACUUM TRANSMITTING HOSE ASSEMBLY

a.

Connect the vacuum transmitting hose assembly to the No. 1 vacuum transmitting pipe sub-assembly and slide the clip to secure the hose.


Hide 89481B 2.INSTALL DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR

a.

Install the sensor bracket to the fuel pump flange with the nut.

Torque:
10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)


b.

Install the differential pressure sensor to the sensor bracket with the nut.

Torque:
10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

HINT:

Make sure there is no oil on the bracket.

Connect the vacuum transmitting hose assembly to the differential pressure sensor and slide the clip to secure it.

HINT:

Install the vacuum transmitting hose assembly and hose clamps as shown in the illustration.



d.

Connect the 2 clamps and differential pressure sensor connector.


Hide 89481B 3.LEARNING DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR

a.

Start the engine and allow it to idle until the engine coolant temperature reaches 75°C (167°F) or higher.


b.

Idle the engine for 7 minutes.


c.

With the vehicle stationary, depress the accelerator pedal and maintain an engine speed of 2500 rpm for 2 minutes.


d.

Turn the ignition switch off and wait for 30 seconds or more.
