Check the switch.

i.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
5 (MSW) - 2 (MSE) Pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω
5 (MSW) - 2 (MSE) Not Pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher


If the result is not as specified, replace the power back door control switch.



b.

Check the switch illumination.

i.

Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the power back door control switch illuminates.

OK:
Auxiliary Battery Condition Specified Condition
Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 6 (ILL+)
Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (ILL-) 		Illumination illuminates


If the result is not as specified, replace the power back door control switch.
