a.

Check the headlight leveling switch.

Connect the positive (+) end of the auxiliary battery to terminal 5 (B) of the headlight leveling switch and the negative (-) end of the auxiliary battery to terminal 2 (E).


ii.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition

If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight leveling switch.

4 (T) - 2 (E) 0 8.9 to 9.6 V
1 7.3 to 7.9 V
2 5.7 to 6.3 V
3 4.1 to 4.7 V
4 2.5 to 3.1 V
5 0.84 to 1.5 V

Check the illumination.

Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the connector and check the illumination conditions.

OK:
Battery Connection Specified Condition

If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight leveling switch.

Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 6
Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 1 		Illuminates
