a.

Perform a diagnostic system check.

Hide 89170B 2.INSPECT AIRBAG SENSOR WITH ECU ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle Involved in Collision and Airbag not Deployed)

a.

Perform a diagnostic system check.

b.

Visually check for defects with the airbag sensor with ECU assembly installed to the vehicle.

HINT:

The defects are as follows:

·

Cracks in the sensor housing

·

Dents in the sensor housing

·

Chips in the sensor housing

·

Cracks or other damage to the connectors

·

Peeling of the label



OK:

No defects are found.


If any defects are found, replace the airbag sensor with ECU assembly with a new one.

a.

Replace the airbag sensor with ECU assembly.

HINT:

The airbag sensor with ECU assembly should be replaced after any of the SRS parts has deployed, as it has been subjected to an impact.
