The ECM determines the battery status according to the voltage of the BATT terminal while the engine is running (not cranking).

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
Read the DTCs.
