DESCRIPTION

The ECM determines the battery status according to the voltage of the BATT terminal while the engine is running (not cranking).

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.


PROCEDURE

1.CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT
a.

Connect the GTS to the DLC3.


b.

Turn the ignition switch to ON.


c.

Turn the GTS on.


d.

Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.


e.

Read the DTCs.

Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes
50001 372
Result:

Only DTC P160200 is output A
DTC P160200 and other DTCs are output B


HINT:

If any DTCs other than P160200 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
