Voltage Check
i.
Connect a positive (+) lead from the auxiliary battery to terminal 5 (B) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 2 (E).
ii.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Voltage:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 4 (T) - 2 (E) 0 2.40 to 3.12 V 1 3.82 to 4.54 V 2 5.23 to 5.95 V 3 6.65 to 7.37 V 4 8.06 to 8.78 V 5 9.48 to 10.20 V
- HINT:
-
Auxiliary battery voltage is 12 V.
If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight leveling switch.
b.
Illumination Inspection
i.
Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the headlight leveling switch and check that the switch illuminates.
- OK:
Measurement Condition Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 6 (ILL+)
Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (ILL-)Always Switch illumination illuminates
If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight leveling switch.
