PROCEDURE

Hide 12204 1.INSPECT PCV VALVE (VENTILATION VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY)

a.

Remove the 2 nuts and air hole cover from the intake manifold.


b.

Install a clean hose to the check hole.

Blow air into the hose, and check that air passes through with difficulty.

Using a vacuum pump, apply vacuum to the check hole.

OK:

The vacuum is maintained at first. By gradually increasing the vacuum, air flows and the vacuum decreases after the vacuum reaches a certain level.




d.

Remove the hose from the check hole.


e.

Install the air hole cover to the intake manifold with the 2 nuts.

Torque:
9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf)


f.

Check that there are no vacuum leaks at the air hole cover.
