POWER ASSIST SYSTEMS POWER STEERING SYSTEM(for HV Model) CALIBRATION

POWER STEERING ECU INITIAL SETTING (ASSIST MAP WRITING)

NOTICE:: If any of the following conditions are met, perform Power Steering ECU Initial Setting (assist map writing):; ·

The power steering ECU assembly has been replaced.

·

The electric power steering column sub-assembly has been replaced.

Perform Power Steering ECU Initial Setting (assist map writing).

Align the front wheels straight ahead and center the steering wheel.

ii.

Turn the power switch off.

iii.

Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

iv.

Turn the power switch on (IG).

Turn the Techstream on.

vi.

Enter the following menus: Chassis / EMPS / Utility / Power Steering ECU Initial Setting.

NOTICE:: If matchmarks were not placed when removing parts related to steering operation, perform end position initial setting.

HINT:: When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

Align the front wheels straight ahead and center the steering wheel.

Perform end position learning value clear. (*1)

When using GTS:

Perform end position learning value clear according to the instructions on the GTS screen.

Turn the ignition switch off.

Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and wait for at least 40 seconds.

Start the engine.

Fully turn the steering wheel to the right and left on level ground.

According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.
