7GR-FKS ENGINE CONTROL  POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SWITCH  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION  


PROCEDURE

Hide 89438B 1.INSPECT POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SWITCH

a.

Check the power steering oil pressure switch.

i.

Connect the GTS to the DLC3.


ii.

Turn the ignition switch to ON.


iii.

Turn the GTS on.


iv.

Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Power Steering Pressure.

Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display
Power Steering Pressure
50003 372 518

v.

Start the engine.


vi.

Operate the steering wheel while idling, and read the value on the GTS.

Standard:
Measurement Condition Specified Condition
Power steering not operating 0 to 2000 kPa (0 to 20 kgf/cm2, 0 to 290 psi)
Power steering operating Values change from above value


If not as specified, check for DTCs.

Click hereEngine / Hybrid System>7GR-FKS (ENGINE CONTROL)>SFI SYSTEM>DTC CHECK / CLEAR

If the power steering system inspection results are normal and a DTC is not output, replace the power steering oil pressure switch.

Inspect the power steering system.

Click hereSteering>POWER ASSIST SYSTEMS>VANE PUMP (for 7GR-FKS(w/o Variable Flow Control Solenoid Valve))>ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

If the power steering system inspection results are normal and a DTC is not output, replace the power steering oil pressure switch.
