PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING GTS
When using the GTS with the ignition switch off to troubleshoot:
Connect the GTS to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the GTS and vehicle begins.
After all DTCs are cleared, check if the malfunction occurs again 6 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON.
PRECAUTION WHEN REPLACING MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) (w/ Entry and Start System)
If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.
PRECAUTIONS FOR INSPECTING POWER SOURCE FOR MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) (w/ Door Control Battery)
The vehicle battery supplies power to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via the door control battery. If a main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) power source malfunction occurs, the door control battery may be malfunctioning.
If the ECU-B NO.1 fuse (the main power source fuse of the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)) is removed with the door control battery charged, power will be supplied to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the door control battery for up to 50 minutes. At this time, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) will be able to function with the ECU-DCC NO. 2 fuse (the main power source fuse of the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)) removed.
PRECAUTION FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
