POWER MIRROR CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
This system has the following functions: electrical remote control mirror function, power retract mirror function and mirror heater function*1 and auto power retract mirror function*2.

for Manual Air Conditioning System When the window defogger switch (mirror heater switch) on the heater control knob is operated, the mirror heaters operate in accordance with the switch operation. ·
for Automatic Air Conditioning System When the window defogger switch (mirror heater switch) on the air conditioning control assembly is operated, the air conditioning amplifier assembly detects the switch operation via LIN communication. The air conditioning amplifier assembly operates the mirror heaters in accordance with the switch operation. |

Consists of R and L switches. One must be chosen to operate the outer mirror switch assembly. ·
After selecting the R or L switch, the right, left, up and down control switches can be operated to change the angle of the mirror surface. |

| Auto retractable outer mirror switch*2 | Built into the outer mirror switch assembly and sends the mirror AUTO retract switch signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). | |

The power mirror control system has the following features.

| Electrical remote control mirror function | When the outer mirror switch assembly is operated, this function moves the mirror surface vertically or horizontally to enable the driver to attain an optimal mirror angle. Setting the mirror surface adjust switch to the R position operates the right mirror, and setting it to the L position operates the left mirror. |
| Power retract mirror function | Retracts and returns the outer rear view mirror assemblies when the mirror retract switch is pressed. |

for Manual Air Conditioning System Turns on the mirror heaters when the rear window defogger is turned on. The rear window defogger and mirror heaters automatically turn off 15 minutes after the rear window defogger and mirror heaters were activated. ·
for Automatic Air Conditioning System Turns on the mirror heaters when the rear window defogger is turned on. The rear window defogger and mirror heaters automatically turn off 15 minutes after the rear window defogger and mirror heaters were activated. The rear window defogger and mirror heaters continue to operate up to an additional 45 minutes if the following conditions are met. -
The outside temperature is -3°C (27°F) or lower. -
Power generated by the generator assembly installed to the vehicle is stable. |
