Inspect the front wiper deicer switch.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition If the result is not as specified, replace the front wiper deicer switch.
5 (IG) - 2 (ECU) Front wiper deicer switch off 10 kΩ or higher Front wiper deicer switch on Below 1 Ω
ii.
Check the indicator light illuminates.
- OK:
Battery Connection Specified Condition If the result is not as specified, replace the front wiper deicer switch.
Battery positive (+) → 5 (IG)
Battery negative (-) → 4 (IND-)Illuminates

- OK:
Battery Connection Specified Condition If the result is not as specified, replace the front wiper deicer switch.
Battery positive (+) → 6 (ILL+)
Battery negative (-) → 1 (ILL-)Illuminates
