a.

Check the headlight leveling switch.

Connect the positive (+) end of the battery to terminal 5 (B) of the headlight leveling switch and the negative (-) end of the battery to terminal 2 (E).


ii.

Measure the voltage between terminal 4 (T) and terminal 2 (E) according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition

If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight leveling switch.

4 (T) - 2 (E) 0 0.8 to 1.6 V
1 2.8 to 3.5 V
2 4.7 to 5.4 V
3 6.6 to 7.3 V
4 8.5 to 9.2 V
5 10.4 to 11.2 V

Check the illumination.

Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the illumination conditions.

OK:
Battery Connection Specified Condition

If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight leveling switch.

Battery positive (+) → 6 (ILL+)
Battery negative (-) → 1 (ILL-) 		Illuminates
