for Transmission Side:

Remove the 2 bolts and propeller shaft guard.

NOTICE:
·

Make sure that the identification number of the propeller shaft guard is "1".

·

Make sure that the arrow of the propeller shaft guard faces the front of the vehicle.

Remove the 2 bolts and propeller shaft guard.

NOTICE:
·

Make sure that the identification number of the propeller shaft guard is "2".

·

Make sure that the arrow of the propeller shaft guard faces the front of the vehicle.

for 1GD-FTV (AC60E):

i.

Place matchmarks on the propeller shaft flange, differential torsional damper and differential flange.


ii.

Remove the 4 nuts and 4 washers and disconnect the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly.

i.

Place matchmarks on the propeller shaft flange and differential flange.


ii.

Remove the 4 nuts and 4 washers and disconnect the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly.

for Automatic Transmission:

Remove the 2 set bolts and 2 washers of the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly from the frame crossmember.


d.

for Manual Transmission:

Remove the 2 center No. 1 bearing bolts and 2 washers of the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly from the frame crossmember.


e.

Pull out the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly.

NOTICE:

When pulling out the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly, make sure that transmission fluid does not leak from the extension housing.


HINT:

Transmission fluid may leak from the extension housing. Therefore, use a container to catch the fluid.
