Tube

Do not disconnect the tube shown in the illustration when disassembling the fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly. Doing so will cause reassembly of the fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly to be impossible as the tube is pressed into the fuel suction plate sub-assembly.

Hide Display 2.REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL SUB-TANK

Disconnect the 2 fuel pump connectors.

Detach the 3 clamps.

Detach the claw and clamp, disconnect the jet pump.

Using a screwdriver, remove the jet pump from the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

NOTICE:: Do not damage the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

HINT:: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

NOTICE:: Do not damage the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

Hide Display 23217D 3.REMOVE FUEL PUMP FILTER

Detach the 3 claws from the holes and disconnect the fuel pump filter from the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).

NOTICE:: Do not damage the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).

Detach the claw to disconnect the fuel pump harness from the fuel pump filter.

NOTICE:: Do not damage the fuel pump filter.

Hide Display 4.REMOVE FUEL PUMP

Remove the fuel pump from the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).

Disconnect the fuel pump harness connector to remove the fuel pump harness from the fuel pump.

Remove the O-ring and fuel pump spacer from the fuel pump.

HINT:: If the O-ring still remains in the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter), remove it using a wire tip (1 mm diameter) that is formed as shown in the illustration.
