PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION
Inspect the SET function.

Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch.

Check that the cruise control indicator illuminates in the combination meter assembly.
Drive at a speed between 30 km/h (20 mph) and 200 km/h (125 mph).
Push the -SET switch.

Check that the cruise SET indicator illuminates at this time.
After releasing the switch, check that the vehicle maintains the set speed.
Inspect the + (ACCEL) function.

Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch.
Drive at a speed between 30 km/h (20 mph) and 200 km/h (125 mph).
Push the -SET switch.

Check that the vehicle speed increases while the +RES switch is pushed, and that the vehicle maintains the newly set speed when the switch is released.
Push the +RES switch and then release it immediately. Check that the vehicle speed increases by approximately 1 km/h or 1 mph (tap-up control).
Inspect the - (COAST) function.

Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch.
Drive at a speed between 30 km/h (20 mph) and 200 km/h (125 mph).
Push the -SET switch.
Check that the vehicle speed decreases while the -SET switch is pushed, and the vehicle maintains the newly set speed when the switch is released.
Push the -SET switch, and then release it immediately. Check that the vehicle speed decreases by approximately 1 km/h or 1 mph (tap-down control).
Inspect the CANCEL function.

Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch.
Drive at a speed between 30 km/h (20 mph) and 200 km/h (125 mph).
Push the -SET switch.

When any of the following are performed, check that cruise control system control of vehicle speed is canceled and that the normal driving mode (no control of vehicle speed by the cruise control system) resumes.
Depressing the brake pedal.
Depressing the crutch pedal.*2
Moving the shift lever from D or S to any other position.*1
Selecting the S3, S2 or S1 range with the shift lever in S.*1
Pushing the CANCEL switch.

*2: for Manual transmission
Inspect the RES (RESUME) function.

Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch.
Drive at a speed between 30 km/h (20 mph) and 200 km/h (125 mph).
Push the -SET switch.
Cancel cruise control system control of vehicle speed by performing any of the above operations (other than turning the cruise control system off using the cruise control main switch).

After pushing the +RES switch at a speed of more than 30 km/h (20 mph), check that the vehicle resumes the speed set prior to cancellation.
