Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

If the result is not as specified, replace the roof speaker assembly.

If the result is not as specified, replace the roof speaker assembly.



Hide 86160Q 2.INSPECT ROOF SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for Standard Roof, 6 Speakers)

a.

With the speaker in the installed condition, check there are no abnormalities such looseness or rattling.


b.

Check that there is no foreign matter inside the speaker.


c.

Check that the speaker cone is not damaged.


d.

Replace and check.

OK:

Malfunction disappears.


HINT:

Switch the right and left speakers and perform a check when either the right or left roof speaker assembly is suspected to be malfunctioning.



Hide 86160Q 3.INSPECT ROOF SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for High Roof, 6 Speakers)

a.

With the speaker in the installed condition, check there are no abnormalities such looseness or rattling.


b.

Check that there is no foreign matter inside the speaker.


c.

Check that the speaker cone is not damaged.


d.

Replace and check.

OK:

Malfunction disappears.


HINT:

Switch the right and left speakers and perform a check when either the right or left roof speaker assembly is suspected to be malfunctioning.
