Check the resistance.
i.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition U38-5 (CLS) - U38-2 (E) Switch off 10 kΩ or higher U38-5 (CLS) - U38-2 (E) Switch on Below 1 Ω
If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 power back door control switch.
b.
Check that the LED illuminates.
i.
Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the No. 1 power back door control switch connector, and check that the No. 1 power back door control switch LED illuminates.
- OK:
Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → U38-6 (ILL+)
Auxiliary battery negative (-) → U38-1 (ILL-)LED illuminates
If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 power back door control switch.
